The topic for this months meeting will be "Cisco Medianet and the Impact of Video on the Enterprise".  Some bullets below to outline some of the features to be covered in this month's presentation:Cisco Medianet and the Impact of Video on the EnterpriseA medianet is an end-to-end architecture for a network comprising advanced, intelligent technologies and devices in a platform optimized for the delivery of rich-media experiences. A medianet has the following characteristics:
  • Media-aware: Can detect and optimize different media and application types (telepresence, video surveillance, desktop collaboration, and streaming media) to deliver the best experience
  • Endpoint-aware: Automatically detects and configures media endpoints
  • Network-aware: Can detect and respond to changes in device, connection, and service availability

By facilitating broad use of video, enterprises can optimize current network investments and build a framework to sustain growing video needs. Bring the completed application and check:$50.00 (made out to GLCUG or Great Lakes Cisco Users Group) to the next meeting.  You may also send the application and check to our Secretary: Don Capoferi (mailing address is on the Membership Application).  Student Application Rate and annual Renewal Fee is $40.00.

Membership applications will also be available at each meeting.
